Reelstitch

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 11, 2026.

These terms are an agreement between you and Reelstitch LLC ("Reelstitch", "we", "us" or "our"). They cover the Reelstitch website and app at app.reelstitch.net (the "service"). Please read them carefully.

By creating an account or using Reelstitch, you agree to these terms and to our Refunds and cancelling policy. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information. If you don't agree, please don't use Reelstitch.

To create an account, you tick a box that says: "I'm 18 or older, and I agree to the Terms and the Privacy Policy." We keep a record of when you did, and which version of these terms it was.

Who we are

Reelstitch is run by Reelstitch LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.

You can reach us at help@reelstitch.net, or by mail at 2810 N Church St #205610, Wilmington, DE 19802.

Who can use Reelstitch

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • You must be able to form a binding contract.
  • If you use Reelstitch for a business or other organization, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these terms for it. "You" then includes that organization.

Sign-up asks you to confirm you're 18 or older.

If we find that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it. Any plan ends at once, its films, files and sign-in are deleted, and we refund the money paid on the website for its unused paid credits to the card that paid, less the card payment fee, which isn't returned to us. Free credits aren't refunded. Apple or Google handle refunds for credits bought in the phone app: ask them. To report an account that belongs to someone under 18, tell Help in the app.

Your account

  • To sign up, you give us your email address and a password of at least 8 characters, and you can add your name.
  • Keep your password safe. You're responsible for everything done with your account. If you think someone else has used it, email help@reelstitch.net right away.
  • When you sign in, you stay signed in on that browser for up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • You can't reset your password or change your email address in the app yet. Email help@reelstitch.net for help with either.
  • We may limit who can sign up, for example to people we've invited.

One person per account

Everyone who signs up gets their own account, and each account is for one person. You can't add other people to your account.

Credits

What credits are

  • You use credits to pay for most of what Reelstitch makes. You get credits each billing month with a paid plan, or by buying credit packs.
  • Credits belong to the account, not to one person. They have no cash value. You can't sell them, move them to another account, or exchange them for money.
  • Bought credits never expire.
  • Plan credits don't roll over. At the start of each billing month, your plan credits are set to your plan's monthly amount, less any credits you owe. Plan credits you didn't use the month before are lost. Yearly plans also get their plan credits month by month.
  • Plan credits are used before bought credits.
  • When a paid plan ends, its unused plan credits go away. Bought credits stay.

How many credits things use

  • Video is charged by the second. The number of credits per second depends on the quality you pick. At the time of writing, it's 25 credits a second at 480p, 50 at 720p and 115 at 1080p. The app shows the rates in force.
  • Credit rates can go up. We pay an outside video service for every second of video, and its price can change. Our credit rates normally follow its price automatically. When its price goes up, the credits per second go up, but only as far as needed to cover the higher price. When its price comes back down, so do the rates, but never below 25, 50 and 115 credits a second. A change in rates doesn't change how many credits you have, but it does change how much video they buy.
  • The video service charges for at least 4 seconds per clip, so a clip shorter than that uses 4 seconds' worth of credits.
  • Adding a video of your own, by upload or from a link, uses a set number of credits, shown before you add it. It's charged only if the video is accepted.
  • AI looks of people use up to a set number of credits per look, shown before you create them. Each look is a close-up of the face and, when it can be made, a full-length picture made from it.
  • Some steps use AI to plan scenes from your ideas, read your clips, or write prompts, including the descriptions behind AI pictures of people. Each of these is charged in credits for what it actually costs us, so the amount varies.

Before you start

  • Before a video is made, the app shows its price in credits. Some prices are the most it can use ("Up to"), for example when an AI step is part of it, since what AI steps cost varies. You're charged only what it actually uses.
  • For video, you're never charged more per second than the rate in the price you saw. If rates go up after you see a price, nothing is made or charged until you've seen the new number and chosen to go ahead again. If rates go down, you pay the lower rate. Once a video has started, its rate doesn't change.
  • Credits are set aside while something is being made. When it's done, only what it actually used is taken, and the rest comes back.

When something fails

If making something fails, its credits come back to your account automatically, except for work our video, picture or AI services already did. We're billed for that work, so it's charged, even when we couldn't use the result. When the app says failed work is "refunded", it means credits come back, not money.

For example, these are charged:

  • The video service made a clip, but we couldn't fetch it or use it. If we couldn't fetch it, we try to fetch the same clip again, at no extra cost.
  • An AI step got an answer from the AI service, even one we couldn't use.
  • The picture service accepted an AI picture and didn't report it as failed, even if we couldn't use the result.

Removing or redoing something that was made doesn't give its credits back.

Plans and payments

Plans

  • Reelstitch has a Free plan and paid plans (today Creator, Studio and Pro). Each plan's price, monthly credits and storage are shown in the app before you buy.
  • Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly. A yearly plan costs the same as 11 months, and you get its plan credits month by month.
  • Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. By buying a plan, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each renewal.
  • Credit packs are one-time purchases. Some plans include a discount on credit packs, as shown in the app.
  • Only the account's owner can buy plans and credit packs.

Paying

  • Payments are handled by Stripe. You pay on Stripe's checkout page, and we never see your full card number.
  • Prices are in US dollars, and you're charged in US dollars.
  • We may change the prices of plans and credit packs. A new plan price applies to you only after we've told you about it in advance, and you can cancel before it applies.

Changing your plan

The owner can change the plan in Account, then Plan, then Manage billing. This opens Stripe's billing page.

  • A change that makes each bill bigger, such as a bigger plan billed the same way or yearly billing instead of monthly, starts right away. You're charged for it right away, less a credit for the unused time on your current plan, and your plan credits are adjusted to match.
  • Any other change, such as a smaller plan billed the same way or monthly billing instead of yearly, starts when the period you've paid for ends. Until then, you keep your current plan and its monthly credits.
  • You can't change your plan while a renewal payment hasn't gone through. You can still update your card or cancel.

Cancelling

  • The owner can cancel any time in Account, then Plan, then Manage billing.
  • Your plan keeps running until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again. Then your account moves to the Free plan. Unused plan credits go away, and bought credits stay.
  • Ending a plan doesn't delete your films. If your files take up more space than the Free plan includes, you can't upload more.

If a payment fails

  • If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again. Your plan stays on while it does, but the new period's plan credits come only once the payment goes through.
  • While it does, the account's owner sees a note near the top of every page of the app, "Your plan's payment didn't go through.", with a Pay now button.
  • If the payment still hasn't gone through after Stripe's last try, your plan ends and your account moves to the Free plan, as if you'd cancelled.

No refunds

All payments are final. We don't give refunds for plans or credit packs, including for unused time on a plan or unused credits, except where the law requires it.

If a charge looks wrong, email help@reelstitch.net.

When money goes back

If a payment is refunded, or disputed with your bank (a chargeback), the credits it bought are taken back, in proportion to the money returned. They come out of your unused credits, and if that isn't enough, you owe the rest. If the payment was for a yearly plan that's still running, they come out of its plan credits still to come before that. If it was for the last period of a plan that has ended, the credits that plan never gave you and its unused credits that went when it ended count first. Credits you get later, such as your next plan credits or the next credit pack you buy, pay off what you owe first. Before you pay for a pack, the app shows how many of its credits pay off what you owe. If a refund fails, or a dispute is decided in our favor, the credits come back.

Your content

"Your content" means what you add to Reelstitch: videos, photos, web links to videos, and what you type, such as ideas, descriptions and the names of people in your films. "Output" means what Reelstitch makes for you, such as scenes, blends, loops, AI pictures and finished films, including their sound.

Who owns what

  • You keep all the rights you have in your content.
  • As between you and us, you own the output, and we claim no rights in it beyond the licence below.
  • Reelstitch itself, including the app, its design and our brand, belongs to us.

What you let us do with it

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, change and show your content and output, and to send them to the service providers that help us run Reelstitch. We use this licence only to run Reelstitch for you, to keep it safe, and to follow the law. It ends when your content and output are deleted, except for copies we must keep by law or as records of how we enforce these terms.

We don't use your content or output to train AI models ourselves.

Your promises about your content

  • You have all the rights you need to use your content on Reelstitch, including permission from everyone who appears in it.
  • Everyone in the photos and videos you add is 18 or older and is not a celebrity or public figure, and has agreed to everything the box below says, for every film you use them in. If we ask, you'll show us their permission. If someone takes back their permission, you'll remove them and what was made with them.
  • When you add a video, the app asks you to tick a box that says: "I made every video I'm adding or have the right to use it. Everyone who can be recognized in it agreed to be in it and to let AI make new videos from it. Everyone in it is 18 or older, and no one in it is a celebrity or public figure."
  • When you add a photo of a person, the app asks you to tick a box that says: "I have the right to use this photo, and the person in it agreed to let AI make new videos of them, including saying things they never said. The person in it is 18 or older and is not a celebrity or public figure."
  • We keep a record of each of these confirmations: the exact words, what it was for, when, your IP address and your browser's details.
  • Photos and videos of anyone under 18 aren't allowed.

Content rules

No sexual content

Reelstitch doesn't allow sexual content of any kind, including nudity. Don't upload it, describe it, or try to make it.

  • What you type for your films, and the photos and videos you add, are checked automatically by an outside service before they're used. Anything flagged is refused, and a flagged video is deleted.
  • We keep a record of each refusal.
  • Sexual content involving minors is never allowed. Possible cases are sent to us straight away, and we report them to the authorities as the law requires.
  • The automatic check can miss things, and it can refuse things by mistake. If you think something was refused by mistake, change what you typed or added and try again.

No celebrities or public figures

Reelstitch does not allow celebrities or public figures, even with their permission. This includes celebrities and public figures who have died, and historical figures. Don't add photos or videos of them, or name or describe them in what you type.

  • Before AI writes scenes or makes pictures of people, and before scenes, blends and loops are made, what you typed for them is checked automatically by an outside service for celebrities and public figures. Anything that names one is refused.
  • The automatic check can miss things, and it can refuse things by mistake. If you think something was refused by mistake, change what you typed and try again.

Other rules

You must not use Reelstitch to:

  • break the law, or help anyone else break it;
  • infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
  • make video of a real person without their permission, or pass off AI-made video of a real person as real in a way that could deceive or harm anyone;
  • add photos or videos of celebrities or public figures, or describe them in what you type, even with their permission;
  • add photos or videos of anyone under 18;
  • harass, threaten, bully or defame anyone;
  • threaten or encourage violence against real people or groups;
  • get around the content check, credit charges, plan limits or security, or get into accounts or data that aren't yours;
  • copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload Reelstitch, or sell access to it without our written permission;
  • send viruses or other harmful code.

AI output

  • Output is made by AI models from other companies. It can be inaccurate, odd, or not what you asked for, and the same request can give different results. A blend may not line up perfectly with your clips. Output that's made is charged, even if you don't like it.
  • Output can include sound made by AI, such as speech, sound effects and background sound.
  • Output can look or sound like real people, places, brands or other people's work by chance. Check output before you use or share it, and make sure your use is lawful. You're responsible for how you use output.
  • Other people may get similar output. We don't promise that output is unique.

Using your own video-service key

On the Studio and Pro plans, the account's owner can save their own key for the video service we use.

  • Videos and AI pictures are then made through your own account with that service, which bills you directly. They use no Reelstitch credits. AI steps that plan scenes, read clips or write prompts still use credits.
  • You're responsible for your agreement with that service and for everything it charges you.
  • We store your key encrypted, and we use it only to make your videos and pictures.
  • If your plan no longer includes this, for example after a move to Creator or Free, we stop using your key, and videos use credits again.

The help assistant

  • Help in the app is answered by an AI assistant. It can be wrong. What it says doesn't change these terms or our policies.
  • It can't change your account, give refunds or credits, or delete anything.
  • When it passes something to our team, we answer by email and in Help.
  • Help doesn't use credits. There's a daily limit on questions, and help may be unavailable at busy times.

If your face or voice was used without permission

If you believe Reelstitch was used to make video of you, or of your child, without permission, email help@reelstitch.net with:

  1. your name and how to contact you;
  2. what was used, such as a photo or video of you;
  3. where you saw what was made, or the account or film, if you know.

We'll look into it, remove what was made from it, and may close the account that added it.

Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Reelstitch infringes your copyright, email help@reelstitch.net with:

  1. your name and how to contact you;
  2. the work you believe is infringed;
  3. where the material is on Reelstitch, if you know;
  4. a statement that you believe in good faith that the use isn't authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
  5. a statement that your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you're the copyright owner or are authorized to act for the owner;
  6. your physical or electronic signature.

Suspending or closing accounts

  • You can stop using Reelstitch at any time. To close your account and delete your data, use Delete account on the Account page. If you can't sign in, email help@reelstitch.net from your account's email address and we'll delete it. Deleting it ends any plan at once, with no refund, and unused credits are lost. Our Privacy Policy explains what's deleted and what's kept.
  • We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if you break these terms, if the law requires it, if it's needed to protect people or Reelstitch, or if a payment isn't made. Where we can, we'll tell you why.
  • If we close your account because you broke these terms, you lose any unused credits and get no refund.
  • If we decide to stop offering Reelstitch, we'll tell you in advance, so you can download your films.

Changes to Reelstitch

We're always working on Reelstitch. We may add, change or remove features, change the AI models and other services we use, or offer some features only to some accounts as a trial.

Other companies' services

Reelstitch relies on other companies, including the AI services that make video, pictures, sound and text, and Stripe for payments. Their services can be slow, fail or change, and we don't control them. Stripe's terms also apply when you use its checkout and billing pages.

Disclaimers

Reelstitch is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise that Reelstitch will always be available, work without errors, never lose a file, or make output that meets your needs. Keep your own copies of anything important.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, even if we were told they were possible.

Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Your responsibility for claims

If someone makes a claim against us because of your content, how you used output, or your breaking these terms or the law, you'll cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim.

Disputes and governing law

  • If you have a problem with Reelstitch, please email help@reelstitch.net first. We'll try to sort it out informally.
  • If you're a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the protections of the laws where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is important, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using Reelstitch after it takes effect, you accept the new terms. If you don't agree, stop using Reelstitch and cancel your plan before then.

General

  • These terms, the Refunds and cancelling policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Reelstitch.
  • If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don't enforce part of these terms right away, we can still enforce it later.
  • We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over Reelstitch. You can't transfer them without our written permission.
  • We aren't responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
  • We may send you notices by email to the address on your account, or in the app. You can send notices to help@reelstitch.net or to our mailing address.
