Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026.
This policy explains what personal information Reelstitch LLC ("Reelstitch", "we", "us" or "our") collects when you use Reelstitch at app.reelstitch.net, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have.
If you have questions, email help@reelstitch.net, or write to Reelstitch LLC at 2810 N Church St #205610, Wilmington, DE 19802.
What we collect
When you sign up
- Your email address and your password, and your name if you give it.
- We never store your password itself. We store a scrambled, one-way version of it (a salted hash), which can't be turned back into your password.
- Your account gets a name based on yours (or "My studio" if you didn't give one), a plan, and credit balances.
- That you confirmed you're 18 or older and agreed to our Terms and this Privacy Policy, which version of the Terms it was, and when.
When you sign in
When you sign in, we create a sign-in key for your browser. Your browser keeps the key. We keep only a scrambled version of it and the time it expires, 30 days after you sign in.
What you add and make
- Videos and photos you add, and web links to videos you ask us to fetch. These can show people's faces, bodies, voices and surroundings.
- What you type: film ideas, descriptions of scenes, blends and loops, and the names and descriptions of people in your films.
- What Reelstitch makes for you: scenes, blends, loops, AI pictures of people, finished films, and the plans and prompts AI writes for them.
- Still frames taken from your videos, which we use to plan, check and match scenes.
Rights confirmations
When you confirm that you have the rights to a video or photo, we record the exact words you agreed to, what it was for (such as the file's name and size, the web link, or the name you gave the person), the time, your IP address, and your browser's user agent (a short text that names your browser and device).
Content check records
When the automatic content check refuses something, we record the account and film, who added it (for text and photos), what kind of thing it was, why it was refused, and either the first 500 characters of the text or a reference to the file.
Help conversations
- Your questions to the help assistant, and its answers.
- With each question, the assistant also sees a summary of your account: your name and email address, your plan and billing status, your credits and recent credit activity, your recent films (titles, dates, number of scenes and status), and recent errors.
- If the assistant passes your question to our team, we keep the conversation, the assistant's notes on what happened, and our reply.
Emails to help@reelstitch.net
- Your email: the address it came from, the subject and the text. We don't open attachments.
- Our automated assistant reads it and answers everyday questions itself; those answers say they were written by it. It doesn't look up any account from your email address. Legal matters, abuse, under-18 reports, refund disputes and people locked out of their account go to our team, and you get a message saying a person will reply. For anything else, the assistant answers or points you to Help on the website. On a very busy day, or after several emails from you in one day, that message may not be sent. Automatic mail and advertising are kept but not answered.
- If it's passed to our team, we keep the email, the assistant's notes on what happened, and our reply, as with Help.
Payments
- Stripe collects your card and billing details on its own pages. We never receive your full card number.
- We keep the Stripe IDs for you and your subscription, your plan and billing period, the status of your payments, and what you bought.
Credit and activity history
- Every change to your credits: what it was for, how many credits, and when.
- What Reelstitch did for you, such as the videos it made, steps that failed and why, and what each cost in credits.
Your own video-service key
If you save your own key for our video service (Studio and Pro plans), we store it encrypted.
Technical information
- Like any website, our server receives your IP address and browser details with each request. We save them only with rights confirmations.
- Our server writes some errors and warnings to its log. These can include IDs for accounts, payments or files, and short descriptions of problems.
Cookies and browser storage
- We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and our site doesn't load scripts or fonts from other companies.
- We keep your sign-in key in your browser's local storage, so you stay signed in. Signing out removes it.
- When you leave a film to add credits or to open Account, we keep which film it was in your browser's session storage, so you can go straight back to it, even after paying. It's cleared when you close the tab.
- Stripe's checkout and billing pages are run by Stripe, which uses its own cookies there.
How we use information
- To run Reelstitch: to sign you in, store your films, make what you ask for, and show you your history.
- To charge for plans and credit packs, and keep your credits right.
- To enforce our rules: to run the automatic content check, keep records of rights confirmations and refusals, and deal with reports and legal requests.
- To answer your help questions and fix problems.
- To email you our replies to questions you asked in Help, and to emails you send us.
- To keep Reelstitch secure and stop abuse.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We don't use your content to train AI models ourselves.
Who we share information with
These companies help us run Reelstitch, and each receives what it needs for its part:
- Railway hosts our server in the United States. Your account, your films and everything else we store are kept there.
- Atlas Cloud runs the AI models that make videos and AI pictures. It receives the prompts we write from what you type, still frames from your videos, the photos or AI pictures of people in your films, and, in some trial features, a scene's video. The video models are made by ByteDance, and finished videos come back to us through links on ByteDance's storage. AI pictures are made with image models from OpenAI or Google, through Atlas Cloud. The full-length picture in each AI look is made from that look's close-up with a picture editor from Google or ByteDance, also through Atlas Cloud.
- Anthropic runs Claude, the AI that plans scenes, writes the descriptions behind AI pictures of people, reads frames from your videos to match and order clips, checks what you type for the names of celebrities and public figures, and answers help questions and emails. It receives what you type, still frames from your videos and, for help, your messages and the account summary described above, and the emails you send us.
- OpenAI runs the automatic content check. It receives what you type for your films and the people in them, the photos you add, and six still frames from each video you add.
- Stripe handles payments. We give it the account owner's email address, the account's name (which is based on the owner's name, if they gave one) and our ID for the account. It collects your payment details itself.
- Resend sends our emails and receives the emails you send us. It handles our replies to your help questions and emails, and our internal emails about questions passed to our team, which can include your name, email address, the conversation and the account summary.
- Our team's email provider receives those internal emails.
- Apple, Google and RevenueCat would handle purchases in our phone app, which isn't released yet.
- Your own video service. If your account uses its own video-service key, your videos and AI pictures are made through your own account with that service.
We may also share information:
- when the law requires it, or to answer a valid legal request;
- to report suspected child sexual abuse material to the authorities;
- to protect the rights, safety and property of our users, the public or Reelstitch;
- with a new owner, if Reelstitch is sold, merged or reorganized, who must then protect it as this policy says.
Where your information is processed
Reelstitch LLC is a US company, and our server and storage are in the US. Our service providers may process information in the US and in other countries.
How long we keep information
Reelstitch doesn't delete your information automatically yet, except emails to help@reelstitch.net and our answers, which are deleted after a year, an upload the content check blocks, the original of an uploaded video or picture once it's converted, and temporary files it makes while working. Today:
- Your account, films, uploads and output are kept while your account is open, unless the account's owner deletes a film (see below).
- Removing a scene or an AI picture in the app takes it out of your film, but doesn't yet delete the file from our storage.
- Help conversations are kept until you delete your account. The app shows you the last 7 days.
- Rights confirmations, content check records, and questions passed to our team are kept with no end date, as records of consent and of how we enforce our rules.
- Credit history and payment records are kept as business records, also after you delete your account.
Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account yourself: on the Account page, tap Delete account and type your password. It's deleted at once, for good. If you can't sign in, email help@reelstitch.net from your account's email address and we'll delete it.
- Deleted: your name, email address and password, your films, uploads, AI pictures and output with their files, your credits, your help conversations and your sign-ins.
- Kept: payment and refund records and the credit history, which we must keep for taxes (Stripe keeps its own records of your payments too, with your email address and studio name), and rights confirmations, content check records and questions passed to our team (which show your name and email address), as records of consent and of how we enforce our rules.
- A plan ends at once when you delete your account, with no refund, and unused credits are lost.
- You can't delete your account while a video or an AI look is being made for it. Wait until it's finished.
- Download the films you want to keep from each film's page first.
The account's owner can also delete one film: in Your films, tap the film's ⋯, then Delete. It's deleted at once, for good, with its scenes, the people in it and all of its files. Its credit history, rights confirmations and content check records are kept. A film can't be deleted while something in it is being made.
How we protect information
- Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes.
- Sign-in keys are stored only in scrambled form, and they expire after 30 days.
- Video-service keys are stored encrypted.
- Every request is checked against the account it's for, so people can see only their own accounts' films.
- Links to your files are signed, and they stop working 12 to 24 hours after they're made. Anyone who has a link can open that file until then, so share links with care.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll tell you as the law requires.
Children
Reelstitch is only for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us personal information, email help@reelstitch.net and we'll delete it. If you think an account belongs to someone under 18, tell Help in the app. If it does, we close the account and delete it as described under Deleting your account and data, keeping the records listed there, a record of the report, and a record of the closure and any refund (the account's name and email, and the amounts).
Videos and photos people add can show children.
Your rights and choices
- You can see your films and credit history in the app, and download your films.
- To delete your account and data, use Delete account on the Account page. If you can't sign in, email help@reelstitch.net from your account's email address and we'll delete it. To get a copy of your personal information or correct it, email help@reelstitch.net. You can't change your name or email address in the app yet, so email us for that too. We'll check that the request comes from you before we act on it.
Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes here, with the date they take effect. If a change is important, we'll tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
